DESCRIPTION: In this tutorial, students will be introduced to the GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation) Program. Mr. Campbell will explain what the program is and how students can download and install it and then use it to edit and enhance their photography and other artwork. Mr. Campbell will just scratch the surface on all the capabilities of the GIMP program and demonstrate how to open/create a project file, navigate the toolbars and LAYERS and edit photos using a variety of tools and options.

DESCRIPTION: In this tutorial, you will learn how to create your own digital collage using two tools that you likely already have on your school-provided laptop: Microsoft Power Point and Paint 3D. You won't need to download any additional software. Mr. Strader will walk you through the steps to select and import your images into PowerPoint, use the cropping tool to isolate the parts of the images you want to use in your collage, and then open into Paint 3D for further additions. By the end of this tutorial, you will have a finished digital collage that you can use for a school project or share with friends and family.

DESCRIPTION: In this tutorial, you will learn about some of the very basic tools and features of Inkscape. Ms. Titus will walk you through opening the program and setting up the design space. Ms. Titus will show you how to access important menus as well as describe and demonstrate the most useful tools when getting started with a design (creating shapes, lines, and text). The tutorial ends with explaining Inkscape save files and how to export into a flat image.
